Wrentham Area Guide

Wrentham is a village of around 1,000 residents that sits by the A12, the main road from London to North Suffolk. The village itself is named in the Domesday Book and has a mixture of old and new houses.

Wrentham is really well located between Beccles and Southwold, perfect for holidaymakers and residents alike. Covehithe sits a few miles away and is a beautiful-secluded beach, perfect if you want to miss the crowds of Southwold further down the coast. Oulton Broad is also close by and is the most Southerly part of the Norfolk Broads.

If you are searching for a new home here contact our Beccles team and we’ll help you find it.

Wrentham offers a range of local pubs, sports clubs and scenic walks, with easy access to nearby towns.

Wrentham is lucky to benefit from two pubs within the village, The Five Bells and The Horse and Groom. There is also a café and Chinese takeaway. Southwold is only 10 minutes away, so residents can take full advantage of all the cafés and restaurants Southwold has to offer, as well as Lowestoft and Beccles, both about 20 minutes away.

There are a number of sports clubs in and around Wrentham including the Bowls and Tennis Club as well as a village hall which can be booked for your own use. They also hold a cinema on the last Saturday of the month. If walking is your thing, there are a number that take you from Wrentham towards Southwold and Covehithe and often have a pub stop along the way!
