The heart of Halesworth town centre is The Thoroughfare, a pedestrianised street packed with small shops and independent businesses. The New Cut Arts Centre is a multi-purpose centre holding events throughout the year, including live screenings, exhibitions and weekly films. There is also a festival every Autumn. The town is also home to The Halesworth and District Museum, located at the train station, which takes you through 10,000 years of local history.
Halesworth’s Millennium Green is the largest in the country, spanning 50 acres of wildlife rich grazing marshes and floodplains and offering beautiful spaces to explore. Linked to the Town Park by footpaths and an all weather track on National Cycle Route 1, it is just a short walk from the historic town center and its independent shops. The Town Park also features a newly designed children’s playground.

Halesworth railway station sits on the East Suffolk line connecting Lowestoft and Ipswich with connections on to the London. There are four primary schools within three miles of the town, as well as the independent school, Bramfield House.
