Durrants Charity of the Year, Clinks Care Farm, has been featured on BBC Radio Suffolk to publicise their work and the charity Christmas cards currently available from the farm and all Durrants branches.
The cards feature specially designed artwork and are priced at £5.00 for 10. All money raised will support the vital work of the farm, which provides opportunities for disadvantaged people to carry out meaningful work in a variety of roles from market gardening and working with livestock to carpentry, maintenance and retail experience.
Click on the player below to hear more about the cards and about Clinks Care Farm from co-founder Iris von Zon.
Iris, who runs the 143 acre farm with her husband, Doeke Dobma, and a number of volunteers, told BBC Radio Suffolk's Lesley Dolphin that they were one of the first to set up a care farm in the region.
"We set up to provide a model for other people. Since we launched in 2010, opening up one day a week things have really moved on. We're now open five days a week and we have our own farm shop. It's a full care farm employing people and it's great that Durrants are doing this Christmas card to help the fundraising. It's lovely to have that kind of support."
Every branch of Durrants Estate Agents as well as Durrants Auction Rooms in Beccles and Durrants Holiday Cottages in Southwold are stocking the cards, so please pop in and pledge your support. The cards are also available at Clinks Care Farm itself in Toft Monks where you can show your support by buying some Christmas goodies from their farm shop.
