Station Road, Spooner Row

Durrants Building Consultancy were commissioned to prepare and submit an outline planning application for a parcel of land to the east of Spooner Row near Wymondham. The site is located outside but abuts the existing village settlement boundary and opposite the primary school.

A linear low density housing scheme was produced and consisted of six market dwellings and two affordable units, with an internal link road and footpath. Durrants successfully obtained an outline planning approval and negotiated a Section 106 Agreement to secure the affordable housing provision.

Durrants also represented the client at planning committee where it was approved because despite being outside of the settlement boundary South Norfolk Council were not able to demonstrate five year supply of housing land and the scheme otherwise comprises sustainable development.
