In 2015, Durrants successfully negotiated multiple planning approvals from the Broads Authority to facilitate the expansion of an existing business park.
The development involved a complex mix of planning requirements, including permitted development rights for changes of use, demolition, extensions to commercial buildings and retrospective works.
Additionally, there were a number of planning challenges to be addressed, including flooding (proximity to the River Waveney), Conservation Area impacts, access and native planting issues.
Durrants Building Consultancy offers planning, architectural and surveying advice for award winning classic rose specialists Peter Beales Roses and have developed feasibility schemes, planning applications and professional advice for the expansion of their two acre site located in Attleborough, Norfolk.
Our involvement includes alterations and refurbishment of the specialist Rose and Plant centre as well as the improvements to the very popular display gardens and nursery.
With the help of the Durrants team, Peter Beales Roses have also expanded their former tearoom into a bright and modern restaurant with almost 100 covers, a new kitchen installation and development of a large canopy for the growth and production of plants.
Peter Beales have been awarded 26 gold medals at the annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show which helps to generate visitors from all over the world to view their classic roses each year.
