Most building work in the UK is required to comply with the latest standards as set out in the Building Regulations Approved Documents.
Building Regulations set standards for the design and construction of buildings, primarily to ensure the health and safety for people in or around those buildings, but also for energy conservation, fire safety and access.
We work with both local authority and private building control inspectors to help prepare and submit your building control application.
A building control application will usually consist of annotated technical drawings with cross sections of the building, details, dimensioned layouts and accompanying notes and construction specification. We can organise and liaise with a Structural Engineer to undertake the structural design and calculations and we can also arrange for SAP reports to be produced to accompany the building regulation application.
