Durrants are well placed to carry out Estate Management for a range of clients, whether it is a single field that you own or a complex property with a range of commercial, agricultural and residential tenants.
We collect rent for a range of private individuals, family trusts, companies and charities. As members of the RICS, our client accounts are stringently audited on a regular basis. We have a range of electronic management packages which ensure that staff are aware of important dates such as rent reviews and break clauses. We are therefore able to ensure that you are made aware of the options available to you in a timely fashion. Most of our accounts are dealt with electronically providing you with a monthly statement and reconciliation of funds received and expenses deducted.
With specialists within the firm acting across the range of residential, agricultural and commercial property, we are able to advise on a range of different legislation. Whether it be the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 or the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, Durrants can offer practical advice for landlords and tenants alike.
Durrants has put in place a large number of contracting agreements over the years and many of these run without our direct involvement. However, some of our clients like to have our input on a more regular basis and we can offer a service to landowners from reconciling the end of year accounts to discussing cropping and crops sale strategies.
Managing estates and property is often a long term process across a number of generations. Durrants has good experience of working with landowners, accountants and legal advisors to create strategic plans that help with their succession aims for the future.
Rights of Way are becoming increasingly important. Durrants regularly make deposits to the Local Authority to try and minimise the creation of new public rights of way across farmland. We also regularly advise on the value of rights of way and the ability to vary formal rights.
